YMC-Pack Pro C8
Excellent peak shape for basic compounds.
YMC-Pack Pro C8 columns are made using advanced endcapping technology to reduce residual silanol activity. This results in excellent peak shapes for basic compounds. In addition, the ultra pure silica and very low residual silanol activity means that these columns frequently do not require the use of ion-pairing reagents or ion-suppression techniques, making them ideal for LC/MS applications. Surface hydrophobicity is lower than that of ODS, making Pro C8 useful for fast analysis of compounds of greatly differing hydrophobic properties. Pro C8 can also be useful for separation of hydrophilic and planar compounds in cases where resolution is hard to achieve on ODS materials.
