Bulk Resins

Bulk Packing Materials

YMC provides an extensive selection of (U)HPLC stationary phases ranging from 1.9 to 150 µm with various pore sizes and characteristics. We offer multiple solutions for reversed phase, normal phase, ion exchange, size exclusion, and chiral separation. Our packing materials with high density and high loading capacity are suitable not only for HPLC, but also for SFC and SMB chromatography.

Many of our resins can be purchased in LC columns as well as gram to multi-ton quantities of bulk packing material. With a thorough quality control system that ensures excellent lot-to-lot and batch-to-batch reproducibility, YMC resins allow you to scale up with confidence.

In the sections below, you’ll find specifications and more information about several of our resins. To request a quote or sample, reach out to your local rep or contact our office.

CHIRAL ART Polysaccharide Derivatives

Preparative scale YMC CHIRAL ART is suitable for conventional column separations, dynamic axial compression (DAC) columns, and simulated moving bed (SMB) systems. YMC CHIRAL bulk material is available in up to several hundred kilograms with YMC’s well-known high quality, reproducibility, and technical support.

  • Coated & immobilized polysaccharide phases
  • Familiar separation characteristics
  • 5, 10, 20 μm particle size
  • SFC compatible

YMC-Triart Hybrid Silica Based Phases

YMC-Triart and YMC-Triart Prep are organic/inorganic hybrid silica packing materials for preparative separation. They are the first truly preparative scale hybrid phases available in large lot sizes. Triart resins exhibit excellent durability, allowing for the effective cleaning of the gel with alkaline solution.

  • Preparative resin available in C18, C8, C4, and Phenyl phases
  • Wide temperature and pH ranges
  • High mechanical strength for repeated packing and use with DACs
  • 5, 10, 15, 20 μm particle size

MacroSep IEX Q

MacroSep IEX Q is an innovative anion exchange resin for the purification of large biomolecules. The optimized macro-porous structure ensures an efficient purification of particles such as adeno-associated viruses (AAVs), protein complexes, and plasmid DNA (pDNA) molecules.

  • Macro-porous structure for the separation of large biomolecules such as AAVs
  • Ideal particle size (30 μm) for efficient purifications at improved resolution
  • 900 nm (9,000 Å) pore size
  • Strong anion exchanger providing high dynamic binding capacity (DBC)

YMC Silica Based Phases

YMC has achieved considerable developments in the production process of its classical silica base. This has given rise to an improved generation of stationary phases with superior physical attributes: YMC*Gel High Grade (HG) series.

  • Reduced backpressure due to more uniform particle size distribution
  • Higher mechanical stability
  • Reversed phase and normal phase resins
  • 5, 10, 15, 20 μm particle size

YMC-BioPro® IEX Resins

Based on a porous, hydrophilic polymer bead, our SAX or SCX materials deliver excellent dynamic binding capacity, high recovery, and very low non-specific adsorption. YMC-BioPro IEX Q/S and SmartSep Q/S are ideal for proteins, peptides, mAbs, and other biomolecule separations.

  • SCX and SAX phases
  • Hydrophilic polymer base particle
  • 10, 20, 30, 75 μm particle size
  • Protein, peptide, mAb, & oligo purification/polishing
MiniChrom® BioPro Columns are an ideal tool for screening, method development, and sample cleaning. These polypropylene LC columns packed with YMC-BioPro IEX stationary phase material are designed for operating conditions up to 30 °C and 30 bar.
