Hybrid UHPLC and HPLC Columns and Media: Triart C18 and Triart C8
YMC-Triart is a novel organic/inorganic hybrid silica particle. Triart products display superior physical (mechanical strength and temperature) and chemical (pH) durability and chromatographic performance when compared to conventional silica and other hybrid silica materials.
YMC’s growing line of hybrid materials includes products designed for HPLC and UHPLC analytical liquid chromatography as well as SFC and Prep HPLC. YMC-Triart is ideal for chromatographic applications for acidic, basic, and neutral compounds. Both YMC-Triart C18 and C8 are available packed in columns with a choice of 1.9, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 50 micron particles.
YMC-Triart C18
YMC-Triart C18 is a USP L1 ODS stationary phase. Precise particle size formation, highly controlled synthetic chemistry, and a proprietary end-capping technology combine to produce excellent – and reproducible – chromatographic performance with acidic, basic, and neutral compounds. YMC-Triart C18 is ideal for use in analytical method development and quality control up to and including use in process scale preparative applications.

YMC-Triart C8
YMC-Triart C8 delivers advantages in performance similar to that of YMC-Triart C18. YMC-Triart C8 carries the USP L7 stationary phase designation. When separating compounds with large differences in hydrophobicity, YMC-Triart C18 may sometimes yield a long total analysis time, requiring the use of gradient elution chromatography. YMC-Triart C8 can often help to shorten this analysis time without requiring gradient elution.
