Fabricator/Metal Finisher

Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fabricator or Metal Finisher to join our team. We offer a four-day work week, Monday through Thursday, a modern climate-controlled fabrication facility and a great benefits plan.
Responsibilities
- May perform any or all of the following fabrication aspects of building custom packaged systems including: pipe fitting/welding, structural fabrication/welding, tube bending, and system assembly.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by continually attending training classes as required.
- Ensures customer satisfaction regarding quality and timely service.
- Trains with and assists fabricators with both repairs and new equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Shop Manager.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated solid mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read, interpret and adhere to documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3+ yrs. related experience. Proficient in the following areas: Frames (cut, tack, check, weld, polish) and Hangers (measure, fab, fit, tack to frame).
- Experience with Simple spools (ISO sketch, cut, tack, confirm) and Testing (pneumatic, hydrostatic, documentation).
- Ability to read and analyze P&ID’s, blueprints, schematics, and other related engineering documents preferred.
- Stainless process piping experience preferred.
- Familiar with ASME-BPE standards and implementation.
